You Can’t Get There From Here

There is no path to follow
In our search for hallowed ground
For every hill and hollow
Leaves us unsure where we’re bound
Conflicting highways beckon
We proceed on shaky ground
The straightaway to a heavenly hell
Goes deceptively round and round.
