Tapestry
August 21, 2007 by Shirley Allard
There’s something in your morning smile
That gets me through each day
Something in your loving touch
That helps me find my way
There’s nothing in God’s universe
Of which I am so sure
Nothing else I know of
That I could treasure more
There’s everything we’ve hoped for
All that we believe
Everything we dream of
In this tapestry we weave

I liked the symmetry of the stanza construction, with the first emphasizing ‘your’, the second ‘I’, and the third, ‘we’… all the elements of the poem going into the tapestry of your being. Nice…
Gee, I hadn’t even noticed that myself! You’re better at my poetry than I am! Thanks Bob.
Lovely poem. Well done.

This is indeed a magnificent tapastry
