For Love Of Spring
August 28, 2007 by Shirley Allard
Like a moth to a flame, I’m drawn to you
In love with the very thought of you
When your warm and healing breeze I sense
I abandon all caution and common sense.
Whatever the coming seasons may bring
I will hold in my heart, the essence of spring.

Lovely and lyrical, this poem epitomizes the qualities you attribute to the season. I tend to look at spring in the same light as Robin Williams, when he said in his famous quote, ‘Spring is nature’s way of saying, “Let’s party!” ‘
Thanks Bob…and how is it you know so much about Robin Williams?
That’s an easy one… idol worship, pure and simple. The word ‘genius’ is not one I banty about lightly, but in Mr. Williams’ case, it is appropriate. He didn’t invent standup comedy, but he mastered it… he simply has no peers. The guy could do 30 minutes on mayonnaise and bring tears to your eyes.
Aha! we have finally agreed on something! He is brilliant or I should say he was brilliant. As a comedian he shines but I really think he sucks at acting…except for Mrs. Doubtfire which I still love.
Nice. Reminds me of spring… and a wild love affair mixed together. Spring fever. =)

Very nice. Isn’t it wonderful the way spring affects a person?
It certainly is! Thanks JO.
