Where Do Angels Come From?
October 6, 2007 by Shirley Allard
The power of wine and roses
can make an angel ‘appear’ to be one.
It takes a sparkle in your eye
to ever truly see one.
Suddenly, you realize
there’s something you’re without.
Something, without that sparkle,
you never knew about.
The sun is growing hotter
or could it just be you?
Moonbeams foster fantasies
most unlikely to come true.
An angel is for you to keep
But the wise will realize
She’s born, she lives
she loves and thrives
within that sparkle
in your eyes.

The Angel within, lovely.
Thanks, Jo.
What a lovely concept… we create our own angels in much the same way we create our own demons. I’m not sure that some of the theists will agree with you, but that’s a discussion for another time. Again, this piece shows your versatility and insight. Wonderful…
You are too nice to me (and I love it.) I don’t think anyone needs to agree or disagree. The angel of which I speak is the angel of love. I guess I’m saying the angel is in the eye of the beholder so to speak. And when you fall out of love…DEMONS! LOL
Wow! Nice stuff! A superbly written poem, with extra dimensions. Poem possesses voice, tone and imagery. Poem sings with resonance. Poem creates a peaceful state of mind. Your words painted masterpiece. Please stop by to read some poetry and tell a friend, too.
