Remembering You
December 14, 2007 by Shirley Allard
When spring rekindles
barren land
I think of you-
your healing hand.
When summer’s night
spawns fireflies
I see the sparks
that graced your eyes
With autumn’s wind
a sultry blast
Your laughter echoes
from the past
With winter’s cold
I bid adieu
My heart is warmed,
with thoughts of you.

No winter chill could exist for very long in your presence, Shirley, your words could warm the coldest heart. Whoever he or she is, s/he must be smiling, just knowing his or her memory is so treasured. Again, a very beautiful poem. Thanks for sharing it with us.
what a lovely remembrance shirley….
Taking us through the seasons with you is a most fortunate ride. thank you.
So beautiful! You’ve outdone yourself on this one!
simpy beautiful. I loved this one… as I’m sure anyone who has lost anyone would. My favorite verse was the summer one… happy, warm memories…
Thanks.
