Could there be found
Than simply knowing
they’re around.
One true friend
Is hard to get
To be that friend
Is harder yet.

She’s tucked him away, for some far away day
Like a photo, now etched in her mind
Only letting him out, when there’s no one about
To amuse her with sweet words of rhyme.
She keeps him well hidden, like a child’s toy
forbidden, this poet with words deep and dark
She carries him with her, his sweet silent whisper
