Friends
December 19, 2007 by Shirley Allard
No greater gift
Could there be found
Than simply knowing
they’re around.
One true friend
Is hard to get
To be that friend
Is harder yet.
Thanks to all who have supported my attempts at poetry over the past year. Your comments and suggestions have been a constant source of encouragement as well as a lot of fun and I will never forget you! I promise to acknowledge you in my book!
Merry Christmas!

Naaaahhh… being your friend is easy as pie. Fortune has smiled upon all of us who know you a little. Merry Christmas!
Yes, your friendship is to be cherished like a fine wine. It’s an honor to know you.
OK Bob, did you win the lottery and not tell me? lol Thank you, the feeling is mutual.
And Jo…an honor? I’m flattered, you been drinking that wine? Seriously, I am the one who feels honored. Thank you.

A superbly written poem with beauty and simplicity. Words can heal us because the word is our best friend. May God bless your poetry writing. Keep speaking the truth. Please stop by the following URL:http://dracegannon.wordpress.com/
