White noise
startles the air.
As shower songs of morn
intended to please covered ears
do not.

well that sucks, but your poem does not. C-ya 8^)
static… why is it always louder than the actual music!!!!! very nice inspiration….
I like this! Very good cinquain, Shirley! Good descriptive words.
Ah, yes… shower songs of mom… and she couldn’t carry a tune, either!
Oh, wait…
Heehee… from all indications, it’s a good cinquain, I’ll have to take others’ word for it. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks guys. If I could sing I wouldn’t have to write everything down…I’d be singing my heart out! When my kids were little they’d turn the radio up whenever I would sing. Think they were trying to tell me something?
Shirley, no matter the voice, if the song comes from your heart, it’s always a joyful noise.
I’ll choose songs over noise (even mom songs…
- another nicely put image.
I know its of a differant subject but we had some ever so welcome white noise over the weekend in the form of rain on a tin roof, a sound not heard in quite some time round here.
Ah, that’s my favorite of all white noises…rain of the roof! Glad you finally got that rain you’ve needed. Hey, want some snow? Thanks Oz.
Thank you Harry…you haven’t heard me sing. You might prefer the static!
