MIA 2

My fingers are moving
The paper is stained
I’ve muttered and sputtered
I’ve cursed and complained
And now what is left
Seems I’ve covered it all
It’s a fight when you write
From a world that’s so small.

Ouch! I think I know what you mean. Do you need to get out more like I do?
Well, I um….yes. I have to confess. I haven’t left the house more than once in about three weeks so I guess you could say that I could stand to get out more often. Anyone want to meet me in Egypt?
seems we are all home bound for one reason or another,,, i work,, but other than that… i am here… nice piece tho shirley….
Thanks Jodi. I usually prefer to spend time at home. Like I said, it’s just a touch of cabin fever. I’m ready for Spring!
Oh my dear, there are no small worlds just small perceptions. I have read your words with glee and let me tell you from what I see your world is anything but small.
Hi Oz, Your comments always make my world seem a little bigger. Thanks.
Nice poem, Shirley. I like ozy’s observation. Somtimes we feel trapped in our little corner, but there’s a great big world out there.
/Thanks, Dan. Just a little cabin fever I think.
When fighting with oneself, it is prudent to examine the motives of the attacker. Often, the seeming victor actually loses. Go throw a snowball at your neighbor’s picture window. I promise you’ll feel better.
I already tried that. My nearest neighbor with a picture window is so far away that the snowball melted before I got there! A handful of melted snow just doesn’t have the same impact. I’ll have to go back home, get another snowball and try again. LOL
Thanks, Bob.
Yeah, those darn inkblots sometimes only show inkblots. But at other times the view is so clear that the climb was worth ten… thanks
Thanks, Harry. I feel better now.
I can relate to this.
Hi, Terry. Thanks!
Hey Shirley, I really like this one and was suffering the same sentiments myself. While I can’t get away physically, I always find new vistas from reading, particularly poetry. Take care,
Bob
Hey Bob,
I guess we both need a trip to Egypt! It sucks when you begin to realize just how big the world is and how little you’ve experienced. Thanks.
