Kidsongs

If little ants wore underpants
And hats were worn by bunnies
If humming birds could sing and dance
Now wouldn’t that be funny?
If fish could really go to school
And sit with goats named Billy
If centipedes wore purple shoes
Now wouldn’t that be silly?
If all these things could just be true
If ants, and birds, and mice
Could do as fairy tales have them do
Now wouldn’t that be nice?

Shirley, if this is any indication of what you hold inside, you should be thinking very seriously about putting together a chap book of children’s rhymes. I really think you’d have no problems in getting it published.
Well, I would need an illustrator. Would you like to volunteer? Thanks, Bob
I am the perfect illustration of exactly what an illustrator should NOT be… however, I’ll bet you could reasonably coerce a good illustrator into a collaboration if you were to share a couple of your poems with him or her as bait… just thinking out loud.
Argh! I was just thinking about the illustrations Bob would do. Snort! He’s right though. You have a gift.
Thank you Jo. We all have a gift and I would love to see Bob’s illustrations. You know how talented he is with that paint program!
shirley,, this is just classic.. you really should do more of this … i love it,, and you do it so well!!!!!
You capture the view of childhood both its joy and humor. It would be “nice” if we all just tried to inject a little more fun into our lives. thanks - a fan
I love it Shirley! Reminds me of Dr Seuss and that’s never a bad thing.
Thanks Dan. That’s a real compliment. Ms. Seuss…sounds good to me!
wow, that was really fun to read!
children would love it as mentioned above
Thanks, composer!
