Sugaring
March 3, 2008 by Shirley Allard
time to harvest
nature’s crop
New England gold
mined drop by drop
flowing freely
as days grow long
adding notes
to Spring’s sweet song.

Shirley,
This is absolutely beautiful. I love the photo, too.
Thanks, Jo. Finally…SPRING IS IN SIGHT!
Jo beat me to the punch, Shirley, but I totally agree with her. You capture the native essence of all things New England. Suddenly I want to reply, “A-yeah!”
Well, go right ahead LOL. If it feels good do it “A-gin!”
Thanks, Bob. Hope you’re on the mend.
Nice verse Shirley, and I’m glad they do harvest. Where would a tall stack of pancakes be without maple syrup???
Thanks Dan. I guess they’d be hanging out with Aunt Jemima!
I am loving your space, this is a gorgeous piece too…thanks ot PWB for showing me the way and thansk to you for such wonderful poetry…
