Blog: Whispers in the Wind Topics:Poetry, Writing, Nature

When I was an undergraduate, I was a Physics major. My father confessed that he knew what various kinds of engineers do, but he wasn’t sure just what it is that a physicist does. So he asked me.
“A physicist doesn’t, do,” I finally said, “A physicist is.”
I wonder what other “professions” are defined by how a person looks at the world, rather than by what they do?
That’s a very good question.
I do know if you say you’re a poet the first thing most people will ask is “Where can I buy your book?” Without a book you can not be a poet?
Having a book of published poetry is not what makes one a poet. I believe it’s having the heart and guts to say it for nothing if you have to…whether or not anyone is listening!
And, not being able to not say it…whether or not anyone wants to hear it!
Good strong verses, I am an author and publisher of an online and printed literary magazine. I share your passion for writing.
Thank You!
