Go gently into blackest night
with strong unyielding force
Travel ever toward the light
through darkness and remorse
Reach beyond the past, it’s passed
though its memory’s ever present
To believe each day could be your last
makes a lifetime of them pleasant.

The trip was worth the time, it swiftly passed
I had a blast.

Snow drifts all through the late night storm
thin ice coats form,
from cold rains’ freeze
that wraps the trees.
A world of white will soon emerge
and sun will purge
top layers of snow
to start the show.
A winter wonderland appears
then drops like tears.
From cold rains’ freeze
come crystal trees.
