This peaceful morning finds me in the shade
admiring what Mother Nature’s made
The blossoms in the corner of the bed
compete to catch my eye and turn my head
The drops from evening’s rain cling to the stem
and wait for light to come and rescue them
With work to do and plans that must be made
I long to linger in this morning shade.

Aaaah, so soothing…reminds one to stop time and watch nature’s beauty. Unfortunately, plans do intrude.
